When you first start VisualRoute you will see the address toolbar as shown below (note: if you are running the Personal or Advanced editions then you will just see the text box dentoed by the number 3 below)
The numbers below coincide with the numbers on the image above
1. Business and Support Pro only - The trace from drop down menu allows you to choose where you want to start the trace from - more info.
2. Business and Support Pro only - This drop down menu allows you to choose the protocol you want to use for your trace route.
3. This is the address box where you type the domain/host name you wish to trace.
4.Business and Support Pro only - this address box allows you to trace through a certain port number.
5. Click this button to start a regular trace.
